EVENT LOGISTICS
eventlogistics
  1. When does the event start / end?
Please check the in-game announcements. The in-game events page also tells you how many days / hours are left. Announcements and countdown are tied to YOUR timezone / device clock, NOT to Japan time. This is true for both JP and EN.

  2. How many songs are there / which song am I on?
Right now, there are 7 songs in an event setlist.
They always appear in the same order, so remember which song is which.
Alternatively in the top left corner there's a % bonus multiplier. If you S-ranked all the songs, the multiplier will be 0%, 15, 30%, 45%, 60%, 75% and 90% for the 1st to 7th songs respectively.

  3. Will I lose my points if I stop playing in the middle of a set?
No, you can take as long a break as you like and you will return to whatever song you stopped at, with whatever points you stopped at.

  4. If I retire / give up on a set, do I lose all my points?
No. Any points you have already gained, you will not lose. However there are bonuses for completing a full set / for completing missions. If you have not yet completed these bonus missions, you will forfeit them if you exit the set.

  5. Can I change my Event Mission? I’m having trouble with the Full Combo / X Perfects / 90% Stamina mission.
Event Missions are randomly generated when you start a new set (a new 7 song medley). If the Event Mission you get assigned to isn’t to your liking, you can ‘Give Up’ and start the set again. Repeat until you get the mission of your choice. You do not lose LP through this process.

MAKING TEAMS
makingteams
  1. Should I use the auto-builder in game or make my own?
The auto-builder is sort of ok if you're just starting out and don't want to put in a lot of effort. However once you have a handle on the game, I STRONGLY SUGGEST you check out the following, in order:
    a) Ke'ri's Scoring Guide (Beginners)
    b) Jade's Scoring Guide (Advanced)
    c) 3rd-party auto team builder (runs on Excel / OpenOffice / WPS)

  2. Should I merge my URs?
No. If you don't yet have a full team of that color of UR, do not merge your URs.  If you are asking this question, it is likely you do not yet have a full team of same-color URs.

SCORING (S/A/B-RANK) & AUTO
scoring
  1. Should I auto?
NO. You get <70% of your handplay score, so unless you need to drain LP but are busy/fatigued, you should always handplay to be more efficient.

  2. Are my cards good enough for Hard/Pro?
General guideline, if you have full SR+ team, you should be able to S-rank Hard on hand play.
If you have at least 2 URs and the rest SR+, you should be able to S-rank Pro on hand play.
Ultimately it depends on the color of your cards and your playing skill, so just try it out once to see.

  3. If I A/B-rank on [some higher level] but can S-rank on [some lower level], should I play on the higher level?
    ALWAYS S-RANK. That is all.
(You can take my word for it, or you can work out the numbers to convince yourself.)

  4. If I can S-rank on auto on both Pro and Hard, should I auto on Pro?
No. You should auto on hard, it's more efficient points-per-LP-wise. HOWEVER:
Firstly, avoid autoing, you only get ~70% of your handplay score.
Secondly, S-rank is NOT the be all and end all. Your score continues going up linearly even past the S-rank, until it hits the level cap.
Caps of first song (subsequent songs apply bonus multiplier): Easy=130, Normal=200, Hard=470, Pro=???

BOOSTING, LP & PRISM MANAGEMENT
boosting
  1. What is a boost?
If you haven't yet discovered the boost, it is the button at the bottom of the screen that allows you to x2 or x3 a song. It will cost you x2 or x3 the amount of LP, but also give you that many times the score, event points and drops.

  2. Which song(s) should I boost?
You cannot go wrong with boosting (x3) the last song, it will always up your efficiency on the set.
Beyond this one rule, you can either:
    - Boost to save time (in which case how many songs you boost is personal preference)
    - Boost to maximize points-per-LP efficiency (in which case you should use an efficiency calculator)

  3. Should I spend prisms?
Generally, yes, unless you really don't care about the UR character.
It will almost always take a small amount of prisms (~50-100) to reach the points UR. It will take another ~200-250 to tier in 10%. However you will earn all of this back through the points rewards and tiering reward, for an average of ~200-300 prisms PROFIT.
If you consider that spending a few prisms up front gets you a gain of >200 prisms PLUS 2 URs, this is way more worth it than 300 prisms per gacha, which may or may not net you anything you want.

  4. How many prisms should I expect to spend/gain for X% tier?
There are many prism calculators available (scroll to the bottom). Do check them out and use whichever suits you best.

  5. How many event points would I need to get into X% tier?
Check out the Event Page for real-time Tier Tracking & Prediction for both JP and EN servers.
You can also follow the border charts and predictions on twitter @SL_EN_Predict and @SL_JP_Predict for ~twice a day updates.
HOWEVER these are predicted estimates; aim to overshoot to be safe!
